Now that I'm retired from committee work, I have time to start new and interesting threads, much like my infamous three word never ending story thread,  (Oh good, I can hear Webmaster Chris not saying.)

We all know interesting but little known facts - share yours here.  I'll start:

1) The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France is not made out of Eiffel at all, it's a huge con as it's actually made out of steel.

You may have noticed that if you leave a few paper clips rattling around in an otherwise empty desk drawer, when you need a paper clip you cannot pick up just one because they are inextricably locked together in a Gordian Knot type tangle. Yes the black pool tower is a massive salt shaker incase a giant from ireland cames over for fish n chips..
