Bought a ‘smart car trailer.   Just need to extend the bed a little.   It’s nice and narrow to pull and store.

Surely you should be putting the Westy on that trailer (or any trailer) the opposite way round (i.e. drive it on not reverse it on). You want the majority of the weight in front of the trailer not behind it otherwise you risk it fishtailing on you

It’s a smart car trailer.  Smarts are rear engines so the axles quite far back.   It felt about right when I lifted the nose.

I think I'd be inclined to turn it round too. Have you towed it at any speed yet?

I found towing a Westfield on a trailer behind an Audi S4 at 105mph to be quite unnoticeable until my daughter told me what I was doing.

Lunch time....   strapped the car to the trailer. Ready for Blyton..   Trailer bed extension is perfect, removal of folding ramps all work.   LED lights and the car electrics seam to be at odds with each other.  The car electrics are not sencing enough load so lighting the dash. Side and brake lights work..  indicators cause a disco effect!   Better find some resistors... mind you the CamperCEEC732F-374E-4053-B908-0111D6C39B15.thumb.jpeg.0876c6123bd4811c6c7642e6fd0f97a6.jpeg should be fine as it’s has  Dumb electrics..  And for those of you who disliked the car being on backwards it’s loaded forwards.

My Mk 1 engine mounts on my zetec install are not ideal as I built them to reach the welded on chassis mounts which are a long way forward.. (originally for cvh plus this engine is fitted several inches further back.    I would have enough space to fit the Ford oil cooler if it was not for the engine mounts...  new ones knocked up yesterday lunch time, and powder coated in Spax Racing Yellow today.. hopefully i’ll Get time to fit them tomorrow evening.

Oil cooler fitted everything clears the steering shaft by a thumbs width, just need to plumb it in.
