Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I saw this on a recent Car SOS show and thought it looked an interesting place to visit, a number of Warwickshire members agreed so I have booked a club pitch for the event on the 23rd April 2017, 9am until 4pm. It is at the former RAF Bicester site and is a gathering of classic cars and car clubs together with public access to specialist car restoration business located on the site. For full details check out their website http://bicesterheritage.co.uk/events/sunday-scramble-drive-day/ Discounted tickets at £4 per person are available to book online through the link below. You will need to add vehicle details and don't forget to scroll through the list of car clubs and click on WSCC so that you will be allocated to our pitch. There may be tickets available on the gate at £8 per person if you want to wait. Link to purchase tickets http://bicesterheritage.co.uk/events/ Hopefully members from other areas will join us but please add a post here when you have booked so that I can check on numbers attending. There is no upper limit as being an ex-bomber station there is a lot of space about! I will be arranging an area run down to the event starting from Tamworth if anyone wants to tag along, more details to follow. Martyn 1 Quote

Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO Posted April 17, 2017 Author Posted April 17, 2017 Just a reminder of this event next Sunday 23rd April. We will leaving Tamworth around 7am to arrive at Bicester Heritage for gates open around 9am and travelling on the 'A' and 'B' roads to avoid the motorway. We will be going through Balsall Common and passing the Falcon on the way to Warwick. Leaving Warwick on the A425 Banbury Road and on to the B4100 past JLR and the motor museum at Gaydon, continuing to Banbury. Leaving Banbury on the A4260 Oxford Road and turning on to the B4100 to Bicester. If anyone wants to travel with us we can meet along the way, maybe at our monthly meeting place The Falcon, Sainsbury's car park on the A425 in Warwick or at the motor museum Gaydon on the B4100. If anyone has any suggestions of a meeting point please let me know. 1 Quote
