Thrustyjust Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Weirdly the wife said his demise from presidency will come from 'within the white house' and maybe she could be right. I said assasination from a gun wielding american personally. Quote
DonPeffers Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Trump is a climate change denier and how many of those get a hearing in the media? There will be a move to oust him alright. Quote

tisme Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Whatever your views are on Trump - I bet he wouldn't let situations like this carry on for more than the time it takes to sign an executive order. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-38809530 Apparently she was given IVF treatment in Nigeria and then told to go abroad to have the (multiple) babies as there were no facilities in Nigeria for her to have them ! (needless to say she was refused entry to the USA before ending up here) And to add insult to injury for the UK and the NHS, we gave Nigeria over £860 million in Foreign Aid in 2016. Mad, bonkers, a joke (and if the person can't or won't repay, then the NHS should reclaim the money from the Department for International Development - or is that too obvious or painful for those bureaucratic pen pushers ) And if you watched the full BBC programme there were several other examples of extremely expensive and time consuming (and resource hungry) operations on non UK citizens where we have not got a single penny, cent, euro, Turkish Lira or Thai Baht out of them or their country. It really is time we got tough on what appears to be a scam or being taken for a ride - in these situations we need someone like Trump to just get on and stop it. I'm off for a lie down and carry on waiting for an operation on my spine. Quote
tisme Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the White House ....... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38864253 Do they have a swear filter on Twitter ? Quote
jeff oakley Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 The thing that is starting to happen is more of these stories are becoming told. Normal people are starting to understand that those we task with running our country are really idiots. Take Global warming, any form of reasoning has gone, any scientist who asks questions against the perceived wisdom is ridiculed, has funding cut and like David Bellamy is stopped having the opportunity to put a different view on the BBC. So now we have Drax power station converted from coal to run on wood pellets, that are produced in Canada, shipped by polluting heavy diesel ships, transported on diesel trucks from the docks to burn. It is good for the environment, apparently but somehow Germany are building more coal powered stations which are better than that. Subsidies for Green energy have made people rich, like Irish Farmers who for ever pound they spent heating empty barns they got £1.50 back so long as it was green energy. Trump is dismantling this lunacy in the states which was started by Al Gore and his film and putting miners back to work instead. Perhaps he is the equivalent of the young boy who said the king was naked against those caught up in the story. see the link below. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-4192182/World-leaders-duped-manipulated-global-warming-data.html The story of the Nigerian woman, is the tip of a very big iceberg, but a culture was born that questioning anyone about their rights to anything was seen as racist, so no one bothered as they did not want the argument. Illegal immigrants, question them being sent home and , yes you are a racists Trump says the same and does something and all hell breaks out, yet Australia allows no illegals in and ships them to an island with no escape but no demonstrations against that in the streets of London. The Queen has had state visits with every Murdering dictators the world has seen and again not a murmur. I think the tide has turned and people who are not racist, but practical and fair minded are saying it is wrong that our sick are disadvantaged by health tourism and weak government. People who are no longer afraid to say it is wrong to reward those who will not work, not cannot, wrong to label people who dare to question. People who say it is wrong that our people have to work longer for less pensions than most of the rest of the EU so we can send money to those countries to enable their people to sit on a beach. Once Trumps policies start to bear fruit, stock market already up and the demonstrators get bored and find another band wagon to jump on we will see what he actually is made of and how bad or good he can be. The UK can be better and start to say enough and put us first. Welcome genuine refugees who are willing to integrate and stop joining in with wars to destabilise other countries creating refugees in the first place refuse those who want to bring medieval customs into the UK FGM for example. Best example of this is after 9/11 the west attacked Iraq who had nothing to do with that but that was the justification used was they were behind that and had weapons of mass destruction, which were wrong on both counts. tisme Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 The problem (I think) is that he's just doing things by "brute force" - yes, maybe things many of us would agree with but the way he's going about it is worrying because he just thinks he can stamp all over justice, protocols and people - the way he's no doubt been used to in business for far, far too long. Just look at the latest farce with the judiciary now overriding his orders and the White House lawyers now pitted against state judges - he's even ranting on Twitter and calling them names and being "ridiculous" (even implying that they are now letting in thousands of terrorists !!) . Just replace the name Donald Trump with Robert Mugabe and you have the same behaviour - except Mugabe didn't use Twitter quite that much or even challenge his judiciary - he just had them "removed" in the dead of night - something that I fear is not far off in the US of A right now. I suspect the game will be up in weeks rather than months as these challenges escalate to the point where the Republican Senators will see their image going down the toilet and impeachment is the only way out. The liberal left or the radical right are both "extremes" (imho) - neither I particularly like as you end up with Communism or a Dictatorship. Interesting times none the less ! Quote
jeff oakley Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 You may be right in how he is using Brute Force, but perhaps he is seeing just how far he can push. The argument is with the ban is simple, can he as president set a policy to protect the US public or does the courts have the final say. It is a bit like Brexit, the government lawyers said that The PM had the say on when to trigger article 50, the judiciary said other wise. If he cannot apply the ban, he will be able to say I tried, I kept my word, but others have defeated me, however, he will implement "Extreme Vetting" which is always what he wanted anyway. Yes I think he needs to tone down his rhetoric but as he has shown, the press has not really reported fairly, so he see's Twitter as a vehicle to use to get his unedited view over. I too have typed email's that might have got me in trouble when angry but came back from the brink. when I calmed down. But on the other hand there are people who are using every thing they can to undermine him and the office of the president, blocking appointments to key positions. Interesting times ahead. Quote

Craig, I've got no interest in what you think you may have because quite frankly it's more important to consider me and my well being seeing how I am frankly superior in every way. Now will you "like" my post... 1 Quote
