Andy Banks
Improve - At the start of each shift, a team meeting to ensure everyone knows what to do, where to go and who to call and do a mini handover. Sounds really anal and we've attempted this in the past as it can fix some of the problems we hear about
Andy Banks
Regarding the items that are left, on the T's & C's that were on the Autojumble table, the unsold and unclaimed items are kept by WSCC and stored for a period of 28 days, after which they will be disposed of. Indeed, and a handy user guide, all laminated and then promptly covered over by Autojumble . Lots of info posted here and mentioned in the other threads. In no way detracting from the OP to which the quote is only a part of the actual reply as it's a valid comment to be sorted

Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative
Golly, Scott, you are full of very good ideas! renting Guy Martin did you say? No worries on the equal opportunities front, all I ask is the ladies wear something ladylike and not a pair of racing overalls (like they did at Race Retro earlier in the year - not flattering to the female form) and I can definitely live without men in mankinis. Apart from attracting men to come to the tent, which can only be a good thing for the club, it also say's that we are receptive to non-members. And non-members are future members, yes? Now, back to the Guy Martin idea......
TableLeg
I agree with Scott that the drift experience becomes quickly tiresome and I was just visiting the show! What is the reason that the entrance is opposite the drift experience as opposed to at the corner where many people walk down to the crossroad from the halls? Would it be beneficial to have the entrance at the corner? In my opinion ALL those involved in the organisation and helping of the WSCC stand have done a fantastic job once again this year. Despite the excellent name badges I still find myself wandering around just looking at peoples name badges to see if it is somebody I have spoken to online but not had the opportunity to speak to in person. It may be there was one and i just missed it but is there a picture board in the marquee which has a shot of the helpers, there name/online name, WSCC role and where they might be found? If not would it be a good idea? Not everybody has a picture of themselves online to be easily recognisable. I felt the show in general was on par with last years, however like last year the WSCC marquee stands out from any of the other kit marques. Once again well done to all. KugaWestie
I thought it was all pretty smooth to be honest. The lamb, beer and wine was a great idea, as was a bbq burger around lunchtime for people working in the marquee. Entrance mats are a really good idea. The autojumble space was a bit tight this year, at one point there was no room on the table for fresh stuff, so it just got piled on top of other stuff. Maybe one less car in the marquee and another couple of tables to spread stuff out a bit more? Putting a car on the A Plan stand was good I thought, although next year can we have one that does not smell of fuel Regarding the AGM - It crossed my mind that if the reports were published in the members only area and also emailed out to every member, then they could have the opportunity to read them (if they wish) say a week before the AGM. This would then help the AGM run by not having to read the reports. A simple question of "Have you any comments on the (Insert officers title) report?". If not, move onto the next. Maybe a "Main bullett point" verbal delivery at the start of the AGM pulling out the highlights/salient points from all of the reports, then any questions and onto AOB. Just an idea for consideration. Recognition for outstanding service is excellent and should continue. The free membership raffle was a good idea, but I think the parking attendants should highlight this when they hand the piece of paper out, maybe we would get a higher attendance at the AGM and draw? I am sure some people never even looked at it, just shoved it in a pocket or bag.
Andy Banks
Good points, some responses from me: I agree with Scott that the drift experience becomes quickly tiresome and I was just visiting the show! What is the reason that the entrance is opposite the drift experience as opposed to at the corner where many people walk down to the crossroad from the halls? Just how it's been as there are underground cables and water pipes and whatnot and there are some pretty meaty tent pegs to keep that beast at bay, certainly been floated that we move it in the past and perhaps something for the new team to investigate...Would it be beneficial to have the entrance at the corner? Yes, and may as I think you are suggesting reduce the incoming noise. Subject to above of courseIn my opinion ALL those involved in the organisation and helping of the WSCC stand have done a fantastic job once again this year.Despite the excellent name badges I still find myself wandering around just looking at peoples name badges to see if it is somebody I have spoken to online but not had the opportunity to speak to in person. It may be there was one and i just missed it but is there a picture board in the marquee which has a shot of the helpers, there name/online name, WSCC role and where they might be found? If not would it be a good idea? All ideas are good. I like this one as I'd like to see an expansion of the Local Area map and AO piece, this needs to be more than a board on the wall that you can't really get to, maybe combine AO and Helpers pictures with the reintroduction of the TV...Not everybody has a picture of themselves online to be easily recognisable.I felt the show in general was on par with last years, however like last year the WSCC marquee stands out from any of the other kit marques.Once again well done to all. If we can remember to bring something to sit the beer on that wont sink into the ground, we have it covered with the current offering. The missing table for those eagle eyed was upside own on the floor so we could keep the beer level! Putting a car on the A Plan stand was good I thought, although next year can we have one that does not smell of fuel Agreed don't think we found out where it was coming from - but there is always next year Regarding the AGM - It crossed my mind that if the reports were published in the members only area and also emailed out to every member, then they could have the opportunity to read them (if they wish) say a week before the AGM. Just an idea for consideration. They are already published on-line here maybe we can make the whole last years minutes and AGM announcements a bit more in yer face if they are being missed Recognition for outstanding service is excellent and should continue. The free membership raffle was a good idea, but I think the parking attendants should highlight this when they hand the piece of paper out, maybe we would get a higher attendance at the AGM and draw? I am sure some people never even looked at it, just shoved it in a pocket or bag. Most were asked to and again it was published on-line but I agree it needs more thought in it's execution, certainly Monday was a bit of damp squib so never actually happened - needs work that one... KugaWestie
A global email with the reports attached would be another way of getting them out there. Not every member uses the forum/website
Andy Banks
That could work Gary, seems that most every member has an email address these days, those that don't either plain don't or are joint. Worth discussing further with Chris when he's settled in to see if the system will allow an Email-shot...

binjoau
Could we do a sound off at a set time each day? Or maybe get a noise meter and those that wish to enter have their cars tested - small prize for the best sounding car or/and loudest Now this sounds good! binjoau
As a totally fresh face joining WSCC at the show it would of been nice to have a car with its body off? I know this would be a difficult undertaking but would of been fascinating. We had a really great day and apart from someone selling me an arch guard that didn't fit it was excellent!
