Terzo204 Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 No point in me entering really…..Adam has only recently set my car up, although, it has yet to turn a wheel in anger I'm going to guess at 1670kg nonetheless. Quote
AdamR Posted April 22, 2016 Author Posted April 22, 2016 Thanks to everyone who commented and put in an entry, much more of you than I expected! The exact answer was 1662.5kg, so the winner is... My guesstimate would be 1663.3kg. Now, I'm not great at geography, but I don't think Plymouth is very close to Preston I'm away this weekend but I'll be in touch next week to sort something out with you. Thanks again! Quote
KugaWestie Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Good little thread Adam Now we need the full breakdown of the weights Quote
AdamR Posted April 25, 2016 Author Posted April 25, 2016 Thanks Gary. Sure, here goes... MX-5 weight with no fuel: 877kg Minimum race finishing fuel: 3l (2.25kg) Driver weight with helmet, suit, etc: 83kg Westfield weight with no fuel: 593kg Minimum event finishing fuel: Effectively zero, but it would have to get back to the paddock, so say 0.25kg Driver weight with helmet, suit, etc: 107kg Total: 1662.5kg Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 That's one f*ckin heavy Westfield! Quote
Onliest Smeg David Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 That's one f*ckin heavy Westfield! NO - It's light compared with my Lardy one But admit it's heavier than thought it would be. Quote
AdamR Posted April 25, 2016 Author Posted April 25, 2016 It is pretty chunky... but two seats, two harnesses, big fire extinguisher system, full (chunky) cage, XE, dry sump, big fuel tank, brakes and cooling systems that stand up to prolonged hard track use, road-able clutch / flywheel, etc. Basically an actual road-going Westfield Quote
