John K
Lol... Traffic in Stratford upon Avon..! Nuff said. Tell you what, I know he is at the slow end of the Westies here, but on the country roads, you would swear you would outrun the Starship Enterprise..!
Captain Colonial
Used the nice weather to give it it's first proper post build-up clean up and polish. Wow... If you don't get that to Stoneleigh by hook or by crook, I'll eject you from the club myself!
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Wow... If you don't get that to Stoneleigh by hook or by crook, I'll eject you from the club myself! Bob said he'd lend me his trailer if the DVSA doesn't make it, (and TBH, without a walk in - walk out service any more, it's looking pretty unlikely). Clamshells baby, they're the future!

XTR2Turbo
Clamshells will hopefully significantly reduce wet elbow syndrome As an aside, once built will it be living outside under cover?
ACW
Ive painted the garage floor today. Now outside in the sunshine with a pint of Doombar and writing some new boardroom code waiting for it to dry.

It will indeed live under it's cover. And yes, clams do seem to help reduce the amount of water thrown right at the front of the sidescreens by the front wheels. stephenh
Been attacking my nearside front tyre with a surform file to get some of the semi-molten gone off rubber off it, then fired it up to see if my new race lightweight battery can hold a decent charge (it can!) Then filled the fuel tank to three quarters ready for warming up and first practice run next weekend at Three Sisters, then emptied the jerrycan into Mrs H's MX5 fuel tank, so I can get a jerrycan can full of fresh later this week, for 3 Sis. Then made some tea, and looked on here. Still can't see my smileys. What's wrong?

Stu Faulkner
I have just been out in it and discovered that the rear arches are eating the tyres. There was two of us in it yesterday. (big muscular men that weigh a bit) Easy fix though as there is loads of fibreglass on the return edge that just needs reducing or raise the car. (It still needs a Geo so maybe needs more rear camber) I only posted this thread as a bit of irony.. But in the end its been a nice light-hearted way of the WSCC to shout a big hello to each other. Nice one Gents.

Man On The Clapham Omnibus
We ought to have a clamshell sub-club! (See my avatar) The car looks beautiful - the half hood is reminiscent of the canopy over the Prisoner's penny-farthing in The Village!
