Well done, a great story - one to tell the grandkids! Jon

windy
Steve, Sounds like you are suggesting challenge for next year! Up for it in the Elan then? Perhaps you could get Colin Chapman to drive it for you

DickieB
Steve When are you going to finish the Elan and do some "proper" motorsport? Dickie
Ian Podmore
Windy - How did you get on? Didn't see your name in the results And no mention of the fact the Ford Escort was powered by a Vx XE motor And when do you get a go in his Focus WRC
windy
Windy - How did you get on? Didn't see your name in the results I spun it at the first bend but there was no opportunity for practice and your first run was judged straight out. If I had known that you lost the points scored for each bend if you spun I might have taken it a bit easier. However if I'd had qualified for the next round then my car would't have been available for Markko to drive . Next year I'll have a proper go having done some practice on a wet track day beforehand perhaps. And no mention of the fact the Ford Escort was powered by a Vx XE motor Yes Thought I'd better keep that one quiet Markko is only allowed to be associated with the Ford name And when do you get a go in his Focus WRC

david.c
as he'd just pranged his car in to the armco in the pitlane rendering it useless for the rest of the day. Didn't that make you a bit apprehensive Certainly looks like it was an entertaining day. David
windy
And when do you get a go in his Focus WRC Very soon - in Rheola Forest - wherever that is. Looking forward to it Just got the invite confirmed today, can't believe they'd not forgotten about my request. Will take my brown overalls just in case Anyone doing this years event by the way? It's being advertised in Autocar at the moment.
