Yes agreed, only made the point, because the people selling the stuff suggested less rather than more. Which has p******** me off because I would have rather had the job proper from the start.Might have some more put in mine, trouble being the original stuff will have expanded by now. "Admittedly, the pictures don't quite do any favours but serve to prove a point how the material expands to take up the space" was how he explained the images provided by the manufacturer. I've heard that the calculator on the ThermalVelocity website was a little 'off' in the past but AFAIR, this has been rectified. To be sure, I would suggest a call to SaveGuard with your dimensions (mention the WSCC forum ). FWIW, my can is 27" x 6" with a 2" inner and I was told that I needed 0.8m by ThermalVelocity but corrected by SaveGuard, who said 1.84m (to be precise) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Too little, it's nosier than it needs to be and the same if too much. I'd have thought/hope you'd have a reasonable leeway between the two though! NB This was a big issue with the very first batch of silencers in the very first bulk buy, many years ago. The initial five or so to be delivered had, I suspect been filled by the "new lad", (after being beautifully Tigged by an expert), and were just rammed tight with filling.
