SOLD :: Brian James Minno Max

I'm looking to sell my trusted Brian James Minno Max trailer. It's got all the extras bar a Jerry can store and a tyre rack and comes with two attached spares (one blown). It had a service last year. There are some rubber marks and minor dents on the mudguard from the blow out, nothing that a fella with the skills could not rectify. Other than that it's as honest as the day is long and has served me well. You can't really get these anymore so a bit like hen's teeth! Brochure here... My car is a wide with wide track. All the info is in the brochure but the key bits: Load Bed Length – 3.40m / 11ft 2in Load Bed Width – 1.71m / 5ft 7in Fits in a standard garage so you park on it too Gross Weight – 1600kg Load Capacity – 1150kg Number of Axles – 2 Overall Trailer Length – 4.62m / 15ft 2in Overall Trailer Width – 2.05m / 6ft 9in Centre deck Locking hitch Locable storage Heavy duty jockey wheel Winch Extra long glide out ramps Wheel Stop chocs Four straps Replacement anti-slip I'm looking for £1600.00. I'm in no hurry as I want to use the money for a trailer upgrade and I prefer another Member to buy it so it's not going on any auction sites at present and if I don't get the funds I'll keep it. Please email or PM or call... Pics follow...
  6. Offered For Sale is my Single Axle Woodford Lightweight Trailer. This was bought new by myself direct from Woodford in March 2010 (receipt available), it's been used approximately 15-20 times to carry my Westfield to and from sprints and rolling roads as well as the occasional run to the local DIY store for sheet timber. Model LWT-031 10ft x 5ft7" bed (3050mm x 1700mm), 1300kg gross, 960kg load capacity. Currently this trailer retails at just over £1800. There are more dimensions on the Woodford website here which can be found here: http://media.wix.com/ugd/2e3ed5_14347d9429834837967934e2b3a258ea.pdf The trailer is also being sold with an AL-KO AK 160/300 coupling lock; this allow the trailer to be secured either whist towing or unhitched from the tow vehicle. This was an optional extra at £115 when ordering the trailer. This trailer is lovely and light and very easy to move around my garden by hand, behind the car its very stable to tow and very easy to balance with the Westfield on it. My only reason for sale is that I've just ordered something smaller and lighter to take the single seater since I'm not sprinting the Westfield anymore. Overall the trailer is in very good condition with no damage. The silver paint top coat is pealing on the wheels revealing a further coat of black paint below, but this is cosmetic only. All the photos were taken recently (25/04/16) with the exception of the photos showing the car on the trailer. Offers invited in the region £1050, viewing is encouraged and welcome. - NOW SOLD PM or email me wsccessex@btinternet.com The trailer is located in Colchester Essex

    Trailer for Blyton Weekend

Hi all Has anyone got a trailer they would be willing to lend me from Thursday 10th July until Monday 14th July please? Happy to contribute cash/alcohol as required! I am attending the Blyton trackday and Speed Series sprint and was planning on driving there and back in the Westfield, but recent reliability issues (not with the mighty crossflow I should add!) have made me doubt the practicality of that plan. Any help at this stage is very much appreciated. Thanks Barny

    Folding Trailer

I noticed a folding car trailer at an exhibition at the weekend. It was targeted at motorhome owners who take a small car with them, but it struck me that it could be very useful for a Westfield as it is such a light car. I didn't have chance to speak to or suggest anything to the company, and have no connection with them etc. but thought it may be of interest to either track day or Speed Series drivers without the room to store a trailer. The front and rear of the trailer folded up vertically so the floor space needed to store was minimal. The trailer was also made of aluminium so will be light. Can't say what quality was like, as I didn't stop to look closely. Link to the company here: http://www.hiqfabrications.co.uk/ If they make some for Westfields, tell them I want some commission

    Trailer Build Diary

(I started a blog, but feel a forum will be better for comments ect. Thanks Paul and Terry for your comments so far) I built my Westfiield last year and have a nice home for it in my garage. Due to work I am due to move in October and where I am moving to there is no garages - I also tend to move every 2 years and can't guarantee if I will have anywhere to store it. My solution is to build an enclosed trailer. I explored many options including purchasing a Brian Williams trailer, but spending the same on a trailer as I have done on the car is a bit silly and I don't have that cash lying around anyway - so thats definitely not an option! I researched car trailers quite a lot and my next option was to buy a car trailer and build a roof over it (in simple terms). But again, car trailers are quite expensive and also pretty heavy as they are usually not designed to take additional structures on top - so it was back to the drawing board. I found some people who had used caravan chassis to build car trailers and that this was a possible option. I wanted to make sure that my trailer was strong enough and this would be my main issue. So I set about looking for a suitable donor caravan to destroy in revenge for its years of slowing motorists on the narrow roads of Devon . After trawling e-bay and having multiple sales pulled out from under my feet I started to despair. This was until I found a caravan breakers only 5 miles from me with chassis bare and ready for action! The chassis cost me £130 which I felt was the best option. Looking at the individual components suspension, braked hubs and braking towing hook this price would save me loads and give me the basic chassis to build upon. This blog will show the progression I have been through so far and I will continue to update it with loads of photos. And for those of you who like big mechanics and trucks - there will be some of those around in the background too!!

  13. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. I'm off to Blyton next Thursday for the Friday track day and will be around most of the weekend helping out. But, I also now need to go to Birmingham for work on the Thursday. Looking at the weather and knowing what a nightmare it is to drive in the rain I'm thinking of trailering the Westy as I don't think North London to Blyton via Brum will be too enjoyable in the crappy weather. I'm fairly hardy but when it rains I struggle to see through the windscreen. So... if anyone has a trailer I can borrow or rent Wednesday PM to Monday AM I'd be most grateful... Alternatively, if anyone knows how to fit a Factory aeroscreen and can lend a hand Sunday onwards... Yes, I'm aware I posted recently about a mate who was selling his and in hindsight I should have grabbed it Also going to try my luck at GT Towing although they look damn expensive
