Just squirt in plenty of Dinitrol or similar cavity wax and that should quieten them down! -

Did the same on my orange car - amazing how such a small change can make such a big difference to the look. I was also worried about the rivet bodies rattling - but I can't hear anything over the noise of the ITBs and exhaust.... -

I think nearly every Westfield on the road has a few rivet heads either in chassis tubing or between fiberglass and alloy and both in my case they don't really rattle around . -

Changed the bonnet latches to nice shiny new black ones. Satisfying result for an all yellow / black car. Just have to work out now how to get the rivet bodies out from inside the tub / trim gap as will probably rattle about. -
Yep, if in doubt, old school garages doing old school cars are usually the best starting point, if you have no other info available.

Hello John. is the lockable boot lid still for sale ? I would buy it, as I have the same color and have damaged mine when trying to fasten a half hood from bitforseven. I tried to innovate, it was an error I live in France and will of course pay the transport fees. I hope to get some feeback... thanks in advance.- 2 replies

Breakfast meeting next Sunday morning at The Darrington Hotel, Darrington, Pontefract, WF8 3BL from 10am. Maybe a run out afterwards if weather good. -
Pic to show the difference in size (width) of my Westie and Rangie. Here’s a spare roll bar I’ve just put in the boot - I could probably drive the whole car in with a ramp!

Plus 1 for finding a small garage. Even is it’s out of your way. I found calling round some of the local “classic car repair type” businesses in the area will have a good understanding of who to go to if they don’t offer it them selves.

I've lost my usual MOT tester. I'm now booked into another local independent tomorrow at 0900. Very nervous haha. I did take the family bus a little while back though to try and start building a regular MOT test relationship. I'm also testing the water before me old man books his Locost in at the same place. I've a new Cat, new lambda, reset valve gaps and new plugs, since the last test. Fingers crossed for a pass.
