  2. My winter challenge this year has been to attempt building a half hood for my Narrow body Westfield. Trying to purchase a hood has been extremely difficult so I thought I'd try my hand at making one. Attached is a overview of my build story! Whilst my limited sewing skills has led to some rough edges I am pretty impressed with the fit and look. Let me know what you think.

    Fitting new hood

Hi Group Can anyone advise on a good quality press stud tool to use when fitting a new vinyl hood, plus where to get from? - I’ll probably make it to the kit car show so could always pick one up there if see one. Ive already got the studs fitted to the car, but when bought it didn’t have a hood. Thanks Adam

    Weather gear for narrow body

I' m looking for a complete set with hood and sidescreens for a narrow body Westie. Single Parts are also welcome.
  7. With upgradeitis season upon us its time for a garage clear out. The following parts are from a 2006 wide body Duratec Sport. Most are brand new or as new condition, the rest are all in very good condition. Few if any of the parts are suitable for P&P so preferably to be collected from the Oxford area or via the WSCC courier service. Spare wheel, Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 ET25 / backspace 124mm fitted with Toyo R888 205:55:15 4mm tread, good condition, also spare wheel carrier included £80 Full hood without frame, very good condition £100 Thanks for looking, PM me for more details, happy blatting &/or fettling
  8. All parts in excellent condition, they can be collected from West Oxford area or delivery could be arranged through the WSCC Courier Service. Otherwise P&P at cost. Parts were taken from a wide body car. Spare wheel, Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 ET25 / backspace 124mm fitted with Toyo R888 205:55:15 4mm tread, good condition, also spare wheel carrier included £80 Full hood without frame, very good condition £100 PM if interested, thanks. Roger
  9. Wide body hood, side screens, hood frame and roll bar for sale. Black VGC, hood has become detached from the screen channel for approx. 2" at one side. otherwise it is in excellent condition. It doesn't look like it has seen rain as there's no watermarks on the inside of the hood. Doors are the flat 2 piece units , so no wet elbows and fore arms !! £300.00 Collection from Northampton, or could post but I suspect very costly due to weight May be able to meet en-route Northampton to Loughborough, Or Northampton to Tunbridge Wells For photos please see my ebay advert
  10. Hi chaps, Not exactly very technical or sophisticated engineering, but need guidance anyway. The windscreen and hood are probably about the only thing on my Westie that date back to its 1991 origins and as such, they have the studs along the top of the screen rather than using the channel fitting. I never really use the full hood and was looking at getting a half hood instead. Rather than fitting a whole row of poppers into a nice shiny half hood, can I convert across to a channel? Is it just a case of removing the studs and filling the holes with some flush countersunk bolts? and....should I ever want to use the old full wet weather gear again, is there anyway of converting it to work with a channel. Sorry to be ignorant but when studying other peoples cars I can't say the hood fixings have ever been high on my priorities. Thx Gary

    SEiW Wanted £6k Max

Hello all, New member here and Im looking for my first Westfield. My budget is £6k max and I am ideally looking for the following: - SEiW car - Zetec Engine - Full Screen and Wet Weather Gear - Disk brakes all round - Adjustable shocks and independent suspension - 5 Speed Gearbox (with Quickshift / short throw?) Other things that would be nice to have are an RAC Roll bar, Removable steering wheel, decent buckets with harness. Would also consider a well sorted Crossflow or 2.0L Vauxhall. I am based in Leamington Spa and am willing to travel for the right car, anywhere within say 3, maybe 4 hours. I appreciate this may be a tall order at this budget but if you have something that seems to fit or know of a well set up road/track car within budget, please get in touch! Many thanks, Adam
  12. I'm in the final stages of my build and was going to wait to buy the weather gear after its on the road (and I've saved up the cash to pay Westfield's ever-increasing new prices). However, I now realise I should have at least the doors now so I can adjust the screen angle if necessary before everything gets locked down and sealed up. Does anyone have a pair in a reasonable condition they don't use? I realise it's a long shot, but the alternative is trying to persuade the other half that she doesn't need a new kitchen just yet!
