Part 9 - Summer of little activity

Well hello - been a while and you may well be asking 'Where's your latest update what have you been doing all summer?' and that would be an excellent question. Longest Build Ever ?

Way back in 2002 I went on a driving instruction course at Silverstone. We hooned about in various cars, but perhaps the most fun was had larking about in a Caterham on an autotest course. Such a different experience to "normal" cars. A little later in the year I watched "A Racecar Is Born" on the TV which sparked the Westfield idea. Tel's Tales 024 Already getting a bit stir crazy so thought I would go into print again. My engine is out of the car ready for a strip down and check following this seasons successes and a need to manufacture a more reliable alternator/flywheel/24 toothed trigger wheel to use with the MBE system. Tel's Tales 020: Curborough 24th August 2013-- Race 27 Well Steve's car was now repaired with new bottom wishbone, new bottom bearing, and a new wings fitted to all 4 corners so we were ready for the 2 lap event at Curborough run by BMMC attended by 17 WSCC sprinters. Tel's Tales 015: 3 Sisters 30th June 2013 Just a short hop down the road to 3 sisters and most of us and the paddock banter started on Saturday night. Part 8 - Still progressing

Hi all, Been a little busy of late and not been giving much attention to this build thread. Have accomplished several smaill jobs around the engine bay - air box in place with radiator and cooling pipes installed. Not opted for cooling reroute at this time, but may revisit once I have the majority of the build done and through IVA process. Probably going for engine rebuild over next winter so will do it then. Swapping Xflow to Zetec in Narrow Lowline Westfield

Well its done I will get some pictures for you all soon, but here the last part of the story. Propshaft I bought a propshaft with the type 9 splined end at one end for the gearbox and had my old type 3 and escort (80mm diameter flange).
