Gentlemen, possibly Bispers more than anyone..... is there a likelyhood of the GWS being postponed owing to the weather?  The heater has broken in my Winnebago so I'm loath to head out if it's deathly cold....

Is there a certain time for a "pitch inspection"???

Yours in Newbieness

Very doubtful. I can remember competing in snow showers at Croft a few years ago. Slicks were still the order of the day :d :D

Anglesey back in 2006... they postponed the start of the meeting to 1pm, mainly due to the apex of School Corner being under at least a foot of water   :d

That was impressive too

They let us do practice laps in tow cars

I took Richard Carroll round in the BMW

That was the old track layout

It was amazing how quick it was later in the afternoon as well. Enough for FTD :d :D

I remember that event, as it was my first time there :(

It wasn't untill the mist cleared on the Sunday afternoon, that I realised you could see the mainland from the paddock :arse:

Seem to remember our then resident photgrapher Nigel lost his tent some time during the Saturday night :o  only thing was, he was in it

I think the likelihood of postponement is very low. The track nearly always remains open, including for its Race School days. The only time I have known a cancellation in 10+ years is when Folly was a lake in exceptionally wet weather last year.

Club members are at the circuit now and preparation continues in the expectation the event will run.

My guess is the only circumstances that could change this tomorrow would be ice or fog. Current Met Office forecast is temperatures will remain above freezing overnight and through tomorrow.

If you can bring hot drinks to the start line while you line-up that will be great :-))
