Feel for you James,

Hope the family are coping well. But cancer's one if those things that sometimes, earlier it's found the more that can be done. I know this is no help for a lot of people, but helps your cause.

One of my school mates lost his mum at 13yrs old to cancer and 2yrs later his father. As a nurse I've handled many patients with cancer and seen the impact on their families.

Sure you'll help the family through this time.

So very sorry to hear that James, been there a few times. The loss of life is always a constant reminder to me of the value in every day and to try to treat the world and its people as you would like them to remember you. This young lady left a lasting impression upon you and I am sure so many others, wrap yourself in those memories they are priceless. Climb that tree again and listen to her voice in the wind... Don't know if this is the correct thing to say in the circumstances and I also offer my sincere condolences. A good friend of mine who has had bowel cancer and has had a colostomy for quite a few years now was diagnosed with prostrate cancer a few months ago. Because of his previous ops he had to be seen by a specialist and travelled from Chester to Bristol for his treatment. Anyhow he emailed me just this morning to say he had just had the all clear and that routine checks are all that are now needed after his latest op. I guess that if there is a god he/it is out there somewhere.

James, so sorry to hear the sad news.

As a close friend of the family, you now have a vital role to play in steering them through a very difficult time, of which I know you are more than up to.

Be strong man, and look after them.

Having done 2 funerals in two weeks, I feel for you and know what you are feeling

He is a journalist in the motoring world and many of you will have read his text over the years - from him to all you "strangers" he says thank you as well.

Sad sad news James, so sad for all friends and family involved. No-one deserves to go through such pain, especially losing one so young. Your clearly a great friend being there in times of need, stay strong, people need help to get through the bad times.

Thinking of you guys,

Rich
