Bob Bobbleton
Anyone any idea how many miles it will take to clean the copious quantities of rubber snot off my 888s ? They seem rather bad and perhaps a little out of balance... Bike tyres have cleaned up in around 100 miles in the past I've done about 30 miles and the snotters and rolled off rubber seems rather well attached... Great day Well organised Credit and thanks to Jeff Cheers Bob B
Andrew
I wouldn't know about road miles, but if they're badly out of balance, I'd remove the wheels, and check inside the rims. I've found some big old lumps of rubber stuck in there,
Bob Bobbleton
The wheels have been removed, washed and polished this evening Will give it some stick on the road when I can and report back Cheers Bob
matt nossiter
I wouldn't know about road miles, but if they're badly out of balance, I'd remove the wheels, and check inside the rims. I've found some big old lumps of rubber stuck in there, Funny you should say that because I picked up a vibration that got steadily worse and worse throughout the day, bad enough that I could see the right front cycle wing and bracket vibrating like crazy along with the steering wheel. In the last session we did I came in early in case something broke. I'll whip the wheels off tomorrow and check inside.

AdamR
Could I ask what the issue was Keith? Having similar oil pressure issues with my car (Titan pump) as in your threads... Cheers!
Evo,s 7SE
Oil pressure is fine sorted before Issue was running lean and burning tip off no 4 plug Did it twice So went home Took head off to make sure no piston or head damage Everything ok After speaking to troy the problem seems to be pump not man enough to supply enough fuel to keep the bowls full for such a circuit of croft were so much time is on full throttle What issues are you having with your pump adam
AdamR
Aah, well that's sort of good - no major damage At least you got to the bottom of it and know the solution! The pump appears to be doing funny things, a bit like yours was. It was working perfectly until recently, but now driving normally the pressure is fine, from cold until hot. Then, if you open the taps, the pressure goes through the roof (120psi) and will consistently be 10-20psi higher than normal after that. I've 'turned it down' a touch to ~55psi at 2k hot (was 65psi) and that seems to limit the maximum pressure to about 85 (which is right for my engine), but there must be an issue somewhere given that it's changed characteristics. I've had the PRV out and it's spanking, no markings from swarf etc. Nick at Titan offered to send a new one which I might take anyway just in case, but it seemed totally fine to me. Also changed the oil and filter to make sure it wasn't a dodgy bottle / dodgy filter, but that made no difference. Pretty confused!
