Im'e thinking of camping Friday - is it within the circuit grounds? will I just need the forms you have asked us to print off to get in?

yeh camping will be somewhere around the circuit and I would think Friday you should get straight in, might be worth calling circuit to clarify though.

Right chaps been speaking with Dave and he said with the form printed that will get u into the circuit but only one person so any guests or passengers will have to pay, I'm tying to sort out some free passes not sure how many I will be able to blag but will let u know once I've sorted them not sure how will get them to u so passengers may have to pay first and hopefully will be able to get ur money back once I get the passes sorted . Passes will be dished out on a vodka offering basis at my descression

How will the passes work? Will I pay for passenger then claim back with pass?

I think me and our lass will camp over on the sat night, I've persuaded her by treating her to hotel and steak n wine on the Friday night in Northallerton. :-)

Ive rang the track and they say camping is available but its all organised by the rsoc as they are 'hiring' the circuit. I told them I was not a member of the rsoc and they said you should check with them.

 

Jeff C can you ask your man if the forms you have said to print off will get non members in to camp Friday night please?

I asked before and he said camping was fine, mention you have spoken to Dave Easton and he ok"d it.

 

Shaggster, pay at the gate and tell them you might have a pass to get inside, not sure how many Im getting so maybe dont hold your breath, think anyone heading down Friday should be able to blag there way in as dont think there will be anyone on the gate  ?

I have held off for too long. The weekend at croft is top class. I was there 3 years ago with a guy who had a escort rally car awesome machine.

It was one of (not all) the reasons I bought a westie. So that I could do this track day one year. The track is only 10mins from where I grew up. Current state of the care and I am missing it again.

I AM VERY JEALOUS OF YOU ALL. One day I will drive this track.

Sorry couldnt keep my mouth shut any longer. Have a top day weather looking good. Post some pictures please.

P.s if someone can get a video of a westie sliding around COMPLEX that would be skill.

I'm looking forward to this as had a bad week culminating in my tow car having a cracked windscreen and no means of getting to croft until my parents offered the use of their van.

4am start but we should be there to join the fun!

Im sure there will be a video or two up by Monday , sun is splitting the tarmac again this morning up here  and the same forecast for tmrw       

 

 

quick video  taster of the circuit, although a very scrappy few laps and im all over the place in terms of lines and braking points       and the car was overheating so I had to short shift        , this is my quickest lap Ive done at Croft  at a 1.28.4
