User0083 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 The problem there is that Westfield's aren't plated for towing and any towbar would need to be EC Type Approved. I'd also be fairly concerned about the total lack of chassis structure rearward of the bulkhead for attaching any form of towbar to. Edit to add, I know of a Robin Hood that regularly tows a trailer, but From memory that was SVA'd with the towing attachment. Back when I had my Robin Hood there were a coup,e of guys with trailers. One guy cut a head on damaged hood in half, just behind the seats, converted that into a trailer and tried selling it to me. Sorry, but why have a hood, Westfield or anything like that, then put a trailer on the back? If I had a cage, roof box would be considered and as pointed out, quick release system to remove once wherever you were going was reached. Quote
User0083 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 The problem with those above is you lose the use of the interior mirror. I stacked all my stuff on the back panel with bungees and used the boot for all the clothes. Everything wrapped in black sacks. Clear rear vision. The what? I have one of them things, but it's pointless... If I can see something in it the I know it's right up my chuff and usually in slow moving traffic. But I do the same, pull number plate out to reveal spare wheel bracket, bungee net and straps holds it up against the back. Quote
