I'd suspect the FW will be slightly different to the Classic. The body tub on an FW is mounted further forward on the chassis so this will then move the scuttle and the screen further away from the roll bar.

Isn't the FW bodywork a straightish swap for the classic??

Depends on your definition...

The bonnet places the scuttle in a slightly different position - as those that put the FW front on a standard rear find. But other wise is relatively straightforward - other than a carfull bit of planning when fitting the hinge!

The rear though uses a different (smaller) fuel tank, mounted on a frame above the diff. Being in so many pieces, and with one side differently shaped to the other it does have a reputation as being a bit of a pig to fit, compared to a standard tub.

More a case of a few small gotcha's than anything major though.

I made a mistake and voted for FW body... but I have a SeiW! (and maybe going to fit a RAC instead of the current "JAP" one)

Simon Westwood mentioned that WF were considering a 1/2 Hood at the Exeter Kit Car Show in Oct so I signed up for this poll.  However, checking with the factory it would appear that they are no closer to committing to a prototype so I contacted Nick Judd and the current delivery forecast from softbitsforsevens is 2 to 3 weeks so parted with just over £300 for the hood, bars, reflectors, P&P - will update when it arrives.

Thats interesting, I emailed Nick Judd about 10 days ago, he came back and asked me for some photos, which I sent, and have not heard anything since!

I have sorted out with Soft Bits for Sevens as well, and ordered a half hood today. So I am out as well now

I`ve got a Soft Bits for Sevens hood,rolled up in tube behind roll bar.Only used for three days & didn`t get wet.Anyone want to give me an idea what it`s worth ? I may sell as I`ve fitted an aeroscreen,also got new blue full hood without any poppers fitted yet.

Did anything come of this?

 

There certainly seems like plenty of interest, I would have thought that twenty odd sales would encourage to factory?

 

If there's no news I might place a call to SBFS myself.
