The beard started when I used to do the Father Christmas bit at all the local pubs and Chesterfield Royal Infirmary. The hospital was the best. The kids that were left in over Christmas were the sickest and most weren't in the mood for a man dressed in a red dressing gown with a huge white beard. It's rather funny being told to eff off by an 8 year old.

I like working on wards over Christmas. All the staff that feel they have power and get their own way are always off most of Christmas (staff atmosphere's sorted) and a patient in over Christmas has to be pretty I'll, so really enjoy the chilled out staff and the fun we have.

I had a zappata in the 70s. The one that got half shaved off one drunken night and in the morning my year daughter was looking for Norms 'stache. By the way said daughter will be 40 next month.

Very funny comment in the office yesterday, a colleague of a fellow Mo Bro’ came in the office and asked said person if he was growing a Mo’ to which he said yes. Colleague then said “my grandmother could grow a Mo’ faster than you” The Mo Bro' is the client, so I did try to stiffle my laughter
