Fill the tyres with helium so the car weighs less, avoiding flat spots.

Stop battery drain by reversing the battery terminals.

Ensure all engine, transmission and differential moving parts stay lubricated by hanging the car upside down in the garage.

Wrapping the exhaust tightly in self-adhesive carbon film can help prevent rust.

It will also make the car lighter

I cannot belive you had new tyres buffed down to 2mm. 888's wear easily so unless it is a competition car it where there are advantages to buffing, a few miles will see them self buff.

Get the sander out and remove 10mm from all the body work, thus making the car lighter, you can then sell the risidual dust to other westfield owners who have had a slight bump as an all purpose filler, DO NOT RE-PAINT as this will ad weight!

WD40 the gear k**b as everyone knows this will improve things and give you a "Slicker" gear change,

Have an hair cut and shave everytime you go for a blat, the resultant weight loss will be noticable,

And Most important.................

Remove all clothes when driving!

See you on the front page of the "Ashby Times" Mr Hammy.

Take all light bulbs, including dash lights, off the car and store them in the freezer over the winter. Come Spring, boil a pot of water, take the bulbs straight from the freezer and drop them into the pot - you'll be surprised what a difference it makes to their longevity.

Remove the roll bar/cage and get it acid dipped. You could remove more then 3/4 of its weight if you get it down to about 100 micron wall thickness, probably. This will help with cornering forces and body roll as you remove all the high up weight.

now now we all know that what you meant was that it should be lowered into an inert atmosphere at a rate of 1mm per decade with all the plugs out so that the gas will diplace all the oxygen. then in the summer it has to be raised out of this at a rate of 1um/s to avoid shock to the engine.

also while this process is being done you should rub coconut oil into the more vunerable areas to prevent chafing
