Hmmmm

970,000 on Aug 1, 2012 at 10:54

977,830 on Sep 6, 2012 at 13:16

7,830 posts in 37.19 days, that's 199.78 posts per day

1,000,000 - 977830 = 22,170 posts to go

22,170 / 199.78 = 110.97 days to go

6/9/2012 + 110.97 days = 23:56 on 25/12/2012

Wow! What a board xmas present! Thanks Santa Norm ;)

The flaw in your maths is that the posts increase as winter sets in and blatting slows down.

BTT. I only popped in to see what I had predicted.

Would be rude not to do a BTT

What just so you can claim another post closer to your date?

Can we get all the estimates on one post?

In the spirit of sportsmanship, I will allow you to modify your guess up to the point where we reach 995,000 posts. After that, the thread will be locked.

Still only one guess allowed, however. If you make more than one guess, you will be disqualified completely, even if your first guess proves to be the closest.

Who will win a million?
