adamnreeves Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 I am now with A plan insurance. I saved quite a bit on my renewal quote from my would be insurers. 1 Quote
Luapno Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Renewed mine with A Plan this afternoon, Clare was her usual helpful self and gave me a great deal. Will probably go for parts only cover next year once I get an immobiliser fitted as there are big savings to be had. Big thanks to A Plan for great service - Again ! Keep up the good work 1 Quote
Tricky Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Massive thanks to Matthew at A Plan, beat my already competitive quote by over 30%. After emailing them and received a call at an inconvenient time so asked for a call after 4 pm which they duly did. Thanks again. 1 Quote
SparkyB Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Spoke to A-plan today and got a very good price for parts only cover....... half what I had budgeted to pay for the year! Thank you very much Clare! 1 Quote

Doug Dastardly Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Would you lot stop it I've got to renew in a couple of months and I don't want you lot banging on about how cheap they are in case you give them ideas Quote
Norman Verona Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 It's not only price, however important that may be. I was with Flux for years and phoned to ask if I could increase the 3000 miles as I was due to go over. Got a barrage of abuse and lectures for my troubles. They said they would mark the policy null and void as I'd gone over the agreed mileage. I replied in writing that I hadn't gone over the mileage and if they didn't re-instate the policy I would take action. I then got a letter informing me of the dire consequences of exceeding the agreed mileage and I could increase the mileage to 7000 for a few pounds of doubling the current premium. It wasn't the price but the attitude that had already driven me to look around for alternatives. Dave at MSM was a complete gentleman and sorted out a 7000 mile pa policy for £5 more than the 3000 mile policy from Flux. I was with them until we moved here. Quote
Doug Dastardly Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I completely agree Norman, however A plan seem to be beating everyone right now (by the look of this thread at least) and seem very good to deal with, at least with my limited dealings so far. I would not buy insurance over the internet, I like to be able to speak to someone. I'm a value buyer, not a cost buyer. Quote
Norman Verona Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Sorry, my post was supposed to support the A-Plan team. They seem to be nice to deal with as well as having good prices. Quote
Doug Dastardly Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I never thought anything else Norman. Just making conversation Quote
M444TTB Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Just insured my car for its second year via A-Plan. Straight forward and a great price so I can keep telling people Westfield ownership is cheap (excluding upgrades! Ha). 1 Quote
KugaWestie Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Just redone mine yesterday as well, also had a good chat about power upgrades and what effect this would have on the policy/premiums. Very honest response, so all good here 1 Quote
