Possible Meet Near Uttoxeter?

We had a good, dry, 1 hour run. Then a drink, and 3 of usd then stopped for a drink. Only 3 Westies plus Mrs H's MX5, because the rain to the south and east of us put some off, obviously.

This wont be a regular meet, no intention of creating another area, but will try again later in the summer, if/when the weather improves. Looking like early August at the moment, taking into account work and holiday commitments of those present. Monday evening seems favourite again. :)

A great run out. I think we turned a few heads along the way.....

There are miles of good local roads which we use every day in our tin tops, but look and feel so different in the westfield.... shame the weather put some off.

Look forward to the next one.

sounds like a good idea. Trouble is I'm quite busy at the moment, so maybe you could arrange it? If I'm about on the day then I'd join you of course. If you want to do the same route, I've got a copy of the run and map I think.Anyone else interested? I recall it was a Monday evening last time. Need to do it before the evenings get too short.

I'm committed this weekend. Saturday is Loton Park, round of the Speed Series. I'm also committed next Monday, I'm afraid. But like I said, if you want a copy of the route we did last time your welcome to it, provided I can rememberr where I put it! I bet Hutch can remember which way we went.

SUNDAY afternoon meet on the retail park by the Dapple Grey Pub (A518 Town meadow way) UTTOXETER.

2pm prompt.

Run to Ashbourne

A518

B5030 past JCB Rocester

Pick up B5032 Ellastone, Calwich, Mayfield

A52 to Ashbourne

Then back on the A515 picking up the A50 and A518 back to Uttoxeter and The Dapple Grey.

A few twists and some places to open the taps up a bit.

Home before tea.

Simple.

I'm in, but it'll only take half an hour to get to Ashbourne. I'd like to extend it to Buxton and come back down the Leek side perhaps.

edit, up the Leek side and down back to Ashbourne. It will be ****** rammed trying to go North into Ashbourne. About a 2 hour round trip.
