Rab (bombero) Reid Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 maybe thats the price for heritage :-P:-P:-P What about the price reward for loyalty to the brand.. .. maybe the Club could secure one for each member on joining up or subscription renewal! Quote
Captain Colonial Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 What about the price reward for loyalty to the brand.. .. maybe the Club could secure one for each member on joining up or subscription renewal! I'm sure that would be no problem! In totally unrelated news, the cost of annual WSCC membership will now rise by £4.90 with immediate effect (or by £9.80 for joint memberships). 1 Quote

Captain Colonial Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Woohoo, the Club is stumping up for the VAT and p&p! The P & P wouldn't be any more as there's no extra weight and you must collect from Stoneleigh, and the VAT will be compensated for by a choice - no WSCC stickers at Stoneleigh, or you have to be spend a day here with these two gents: Quote
Dibby Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 That looks like one of those pot factories on the news this morning. Must be hot with all those artificial lights running in your attic, so hot you had to remove all your clothes! You'd think Westfield central's marketing department would cover something like stickers. If they sell one car off the back of these 30th Anniversary stickers they'll more than make their money back. If you go to somewhere like Goodwood, the dolly birds on the stands are constantly trying to shove a bag of goodies in your hand with their stickers inside so you can do the advertising for them. My tool box is covered in car and bike flavoured stickers I had for free from car shows and magazines. No way would I pay for a manufacturer's logo. So come on Westfield, giz a freebie Quote
Mark Stanton Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 WSC Ltd could do with taking note of Ginetta's marketing - Ginetta have handed out thousands of freebies in caps, stickers and all sorts to promote the company and cars paddocks around the UK and littered with folks wearing Ginetta emblazone merchandise. £4.90 + Vat is expensive for a sticker especially when its a copy of the 25th Anniversary one with the numbers changed - wouldn't cost that much if you took the graphic along to a sticker company and had one made 1 Quote

The club could even help by giving them out to members at Stoneleigh. 1 Quote
Ciprian Posted March 6, 2012 Author Posted March 6, 2012 OMG, what have i done ? started a war! yeeeeeah, i'm up for free stuff!! Quote
Captain Colonial Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Totally agree with you both, Mark and Nick. Often thought the club and the factory should work together much more closely to promote each other. The price of the factory starter kit should include a years club membership, which would make the factory's job in helping new builds easier by putting some of the strain on the experience of the club, while the club committee should have an annual meeting with the factory board with a list of club member (car owner) ideas and concerns to improve the quality of the product and customer interface. A small bit of factory promo with anniversary stickers for owners and the like are sensible expenditures in times like these. 1 Quote
Mark Stanton Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 :d :d :d Great ideas Captain but certainly not original they have been tried so many many times - but when it came to the crunch there was always a "catch" e.g the inclusion of membership with every new kit was changed to every new car build, and then it was a redeemable voucher and blah blah blah blah. Lost count of the number meetings and absolutely thousands of free ideas offered :d Good Luck :d :d Quote
Doug Dastardly Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Sounds like a win / win for the factory to me Cap'n I'm sure most businesses would love the ammount and quality of feedback thack would be available from this club. This could happen with the club maintaining it's independance too. Quote
