Andrew Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 BTW, the green MNR in the vid was ZZR1400 powered I think, and was OK for noise, so it can be done. Quote

Andrew Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 I think they got a bit lost there! I've never driven that layout. Quote
SteveH Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I don't remember seeing static testing there before, might be a new thing or maybe they just spot test if they have any problems on driveby. I'm still up for this date anyhoo. Quote

S2T Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Just been looking at Rockinghams T&Cs http://store.rockingham.co.uk/terms.asp#cartrack All vehicles must comply with the venue noise limit of 105Dba static. ALL vehicles will be noise tested prior to being allowed on track. Hope that helps some Steve Quote

Hope that helps some Steve that helps a lot :t-up: :t-up: but just recall steve mentioned Have confirmed that they will static test for 98db but if it fails you still get a go at the driveby. Why bother with the static one wonders Quote
SteveH Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I'm going to rely on the fact that in the half dozen days I've worked there I've only had to have a word with one guy about noise and his Skyline sounded like a Harrier taking off. I've never seen them do static testing but if their own terms say 105 then it's something that we can point out on the day if necessary. Quote
