chazpowerslide
First off PLEASE IGNORE THE DATE in this op. Several of the Cambs chaps have asked about doing another day at Alconbury. How many are actually interested so I can sort the costings. I'm looking at September for the dates. Chaz.

markcoopers
MArk, it is not a track day, rather a series of slaloms and hairpins getting you used to sliding the car and using the pendulum effect. All instructed and safe.....but tyres are a gonner in a day.

Cleggy the Spyder Man
for those that have not done this before - if the idea of spending all day trying to go sideways appeals then this is defo your cuppa tea if you spend too much time facing the wrong way on a trackday you are eventually gonna fall out with the organisers - this is where this event starts to make a lot of sense last year the airfield was split into two halves - some cones were laid out and you went out one at a time to practice drifting In the afternoon one half of the airfield was made into a sorta sprint track for you to practice "hopefully" your new drifting skills with the idea that you could keep the drift going (I failed miserably but enjoyed trying) brilliant fun - but like I said either get some cheap rims with some hard rubber tyres or get your tyres changed over for the day last year I destroyed a nearly new set of a048's in a day - ouch!!! oh and bring some gaffer tape to protect your bodywork Come on lads this really is the dogs
Cleggy the Spyder Man
a few piccies from last year pictures dont do the sideways action justice I am afraid
