Asterix Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Is it wrong of me to covert this? no, but why is it a secret?
smithy Posted December 1, 2010 Author Posted December 1, 2010 ok guys, sometimes the price puts people off, without seeing the engine. bearing in mind it cost vauxhall £37k, built to last, and i spent £4k on it last year on a full rebuild, its got years of service yet. cheap at £12500. lots of trick extras like the billet infill panels between the belts, H15 pulley posts, billet cam sensor housing, mag alloy cam cover etc etc. the list goes on! this is not your normal 'tuned car engine' and is by far the quickest 2 litre i have ever driven. will email pics to anyone seriously interested.
Martin Keene Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Mark Did you use to run this in your car?
smithy Posted December 1, 2010 Author Posted December 1, 2010 not in my westfield but in the Reynard/Gould leaving all other 2litre cars way behind and many V8s too. wish i had it when i was campaining the westy though!
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Price? Ring the number and ask I thought you had to put prices on ads? If you need to ask the price you can't afford it
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 leaving all other 2litre cars way behind and many V8s too. Not all of them
Tigger Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 would it go in my mini I would think the reverse head may be a problem unless you want the exhaust going through your legs. Would save on heated seats I suppose
pete g Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Would this be allowed in F? NO why not standard block . was ok for touring car class £13k mmmmm
Tigger Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Would this be allowed in F? NO why not standard block . was ok for touring car class £13k mmmmm Don't even go there ya b****r, I got enough problems trying to keep up with you as it is
smithy Posted December 2, 2010 Author Posted December 2, 2010 perfectly acceptable in F, it is a homologated production block engine, runs on pump fuel. have got dyno sheet and reciepts, can get homologation paperwork off Swindon. dont forget this engine ran in the production car class.
pete g Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 told you so tigger would make a nice class f engine
