Mark Stanton
FWIW Wotbox won the speed series on 16" rims with A520's Nope he didn't they were A539's
dasamdy
There is a direct relationship between the sprung & unsprung weight as a ratio The bigger the ratio the better the ride quality, the extra work the damper has to do is also a consideration. If you want a grass roots example tie a 13" rim and tyre to one of your testicles then swing your hips, then do it with a 15" and you'll soon see the difference Take my word for it, buy small ones Evenin Tommo Dave

scooby
lol at the gonad example but why are smaller wheels better. Is it the wall size or all round distance that is the problem
gregh
>> 15" wheel weighs in the region of 16.5kg, 13" wheel about 11.5kg. Nick - are you talking for all 4 wheels? I reckoned 13" wheels were around 5kg per corner, so my 15" Oz's were about the same weight. regards, Greg
gregh
This is also worth a read the "13 inch wheels are best" rule has been rewritten.

No - 16.5kg for one 15" wheel and tyre. One 13" wheel and tyre with ACB10s came in at a fraction under 10kg and a little over 11 with these Yokos I've got. One of my 13" wheels on its own weighs a fraction under 5kg, but add a tyre and it more than doubles.
