fatbaldbloke Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I'm with the positives. It's a light hearted escapism hour. A good laugh. A nice antidote to the footie. Quote
peterg Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 We recorded it, just watched it... p*ssed ourselves laughing at the Reliant stuff Volcano bit was good new celebrity car not as interesting on the whole, not a bad way to spend an hour whilst eating dinner and downing a bottle of red Quote
pistonbroke Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Next door neighbour had a reliant which he swore by , until one day a proper car drove through it on a roundabout near Warrington . Front half, engine, driver and spouse carreered on down the road followed shortly by the van bit with 2 kids and dog still sat in there . Other car driver tried to blame him for driving too fast , police p****d therselves , told him don't be stupid its a b****y reliant not a ferrari Quote
windy Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Reasonably priced car has had its day. I think they should move onto something else like "A seriously fast car" invite all the England footballers along to kill themselves in it, should be more fun to watch. Quote
samcooke Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 The Robin stuff was great, I chuckled all the way through. I forget how it happened but I watched Robin racing once and each driver was equipped with a walking stick to push themselves back upright when the inevitable happened. I too agree that the reasonably priced car bit is dull, but mainly because they so rarely get car enthusiasts as guests. Chris Evans is the only one I can recall recently. Hammond appears to have eaten all the pies since last series. Quote
Matt Seabrook Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Love the show but I nearly always do. A good mix of car stuff and silliness. Long may it continue Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Now listen 'celebrities': It's "Reliant Robin" not "Robin Reliant" for God's sake. How difficult is that? You wouldn't say "Escort Ford" or "Testarossa Ferrari" would you? stupid people............. Quote
bhouse Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 They're trying to appeal to the Korean audience. It's always Surname followed by Forename in Korean. 로빈 의존 rather than 의존 로빈 Quote
Mat Jackson Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Any idea if this is repeated? missed it due to hols!!! Quote

stephenh Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I enjoyed it very much I don't understand why everyone has this problem with TG. Sure the things they do are pointless, but isn't that the point? because it gives us an hour of sillyness that we all want to do but simply aren't allowed or can't afford to do, I find it a good laugh/relax and something to look forward to before the next 5 days of monotony begin You really want to drive round in a Reliant Robin, very obviously trying to tip it up at every conceivable oportunity? Well, each to his own I suppose; whatever turns you on etc.! Quote
echoz Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Sure I find it funny to watch peoples reactions when i tip my car over, especially on the news no need for hostility Quote
