cleowuss Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Hi Steve I know what that feels like. Just got mine back from being mapped and gave it a slow spin around the block (car not road legal yet!),private roads No nose or bonnet big grin on me face. OH what a day! My first drive after 2years of building Richard Quote
Captain Colonial Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Congrats Steve, your happiness is great to see and share! Reminds me of my first run, couldn't wipe that grin from my face for ages. It just gets better and never get boring. May you have many happy kilometres of blatting and posing. My first blat of the season today, polishing it up and zipping around Warwickshire in glorious sunshine, pub-to-pub rallying, tourists in Stratford upon Avon taking photos and posing with "The Wench", surprising a few hot hatch drivers, life doesn't get much better! One of my favourite bits of the season is getting the car out from hibernation and putting on Chris Rea's "You're Not A Number" while pottering on my baby before the inaugural blast - suggest you download it if you can, says it all: You can feel your nerve endings They've been dead before today You can feel them rising Feel them rising all the way You've got grease on your fingers Oil on your face Happy completely chasing the pace Happy to find out even this late You're not a number There's a new sense of freedom Come banging on your door Deep down inside you You've seen it all somewhere before Somewhere in the past Somewhere in a dream It's got you completely and you know what it means Happy to find out even this late You're not a number There's a new sense of freedom Come banging on your door Deep down inside you You've seen it all somewhere before You've got grease on your fingers Oil on your face And you're happy completely chasing the pace Happy to find out even this late You're not a number Quote

Know what you mean... Just off out to the garage in a minute for some Foo Fighters and an oil change and valley gasket replacement....Mechanic lubricated by homemade sloe gin and a spot of Stella....What could possibly go wrong? Been enjoying the sun in the Westie today too.....another one with a big cheesy grin.... Quote
CrashBangWallop Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 You could have a fairly short Summer if you hit something doing 140. Send a mail to the board when you're going out next time, and I'll keep my children off the streets when you're on them. Quote
