Terry Everall Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 We need details of Bunnys fix please in case its needed elsewhere Quote
stephenh Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Terry, you didn't see it; you'd be embarrased to have it on your car. Quote
stephenh Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 How did the final (Brit Sprint Championship) run-off go? In common with most of the Westfield contingent I left before it was over, because of the time, and the distance home. Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Nick took over 2 seconds off the old record but unluckily only came 2nd by 0.01 of a second to Stewart Robb in the Pilbeam. He still went 5 seconds faster than last year in the same car which is very impressive considering this was the first event and is still shaking off the cobwebs Quote
Terry Everall Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Stephen if it worked I would like to see it. My car is not a visual ikon! If no piccies can you descibe what was done Quote
SteveD Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Terry, you didn't see it; i would be embarrased to be seen your car. fixed that Quote
stephenh Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Terry, I'm sure piccies will appear shortly. Lets just say that the exhaust exited slightly above Gary's ear!! Quote
Garry Bunn - Derby & Notts Joint AO Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 You lot are letting your standards slip...... can't believe there hasn't been a picture of my handy work.... Anyway I dont think a repack would have got me through the test, the difference in revs from 2/3s to 3/4 puts the cossie in growl mode ...... Negatives :- 1) cost 2) It hurt may ear 3) knocks off a few horses (I think) 4)Too many tractor jokes... Positives 1) It got me on track. I was thinking of taking it back to Merlin after the test (I didn't have to pay for it straight away they said to try it first... very trusting), good job I didn't cus the MSA guy was straight over after practice to have a moan about the induction roar. As already stated I think he (MSA environment guy) was wrong in his placement of the meter and high in his rpm figure (and inconsistent). I know he has a difficult job in keeping the circuit safe from the council/ locals but I would like to see the results of a calibration on that meter. Another point is that its not like a race where there are 2 dozen cars all on full chat at the same point on the circuit. Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Did you tell him the true max rpm at noise test? Quote
RobC Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 It didn't seem to matter what you told him... 5.2 seemed to be a stock answer for most Quote
mhc Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I have some nice pics of garrys periscope exhaust. Quote
stephenh Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 2nd timed run was dry as a bone m8. My word, there's some effers this year that 'cause its an Effing popular class!! Quote
Terry Everall Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 used to be a good class when I was in it Quote
