V 8
Del's car is awsome. Usual high quality Hodder finish and engineering. Goes like stink, he just had an issue with brakes. Thinks he may have cooked the master cylinder seals when the xhaust was glowing white on the dyno. Good shake down for the head to head at Croft (Are you listening Tel)
Terry Everall
Oh yes I'm listening alright!

Hilts
Made it for practice only yesterday just in time to see yellow Westfield hit the barriers coming out of the esses, real bad luck, just caught the damp patch as he hit the gas. Good to see driver ok and car being worked on in the paddock. Kids loved it until the Lola judd went out, bang on every up and down change scaring them to death. Nick in the Gould looked great even if he was running a bit low! Steve D's Elise pulling out of the esses down to tower sounded very sweet, must be deaf assuming that was a supercharger whine I could hear. Smokey mow might not have been the fastest but very tidy lines from where we could see. There was also a little Sylva riot going like stink! Great to watch and listen and some real speed the red SBD Westfield was awsome.
mhc
Sorry Steve, the Winsford Salvage Co may have to wait just little longer. I hope to bring the car out for Croft, for Paul to drive, and to press on with some more developments. That Honda engine is probally the best 2litre on the market in standard form, it gives nothing away to modified Vauxhalls or Fords, in revs or power. Paul and I would also like to thank the marshalls, medical staff, and especially the recovery team for their skill, care and patience in recovery of the car to the paddock. Regards Mick. Nick Algar - Competition Secretary
Got back at just gone midnight last night, it's a long way to Newcastle Still Croft is only 1 hr away Great to see all the Speed Series regulars out and also the new boys for this year, who quickly fitted in and seemed to enjoy the event. Didn't run as smoothly as we would have wishes, but there were a lot of off's throughout the day, that took a long time to clear with the circuit being so big. Also the rain would have been better over lunch. But still a good event. Pleased Paul was OK, if a little sore on the neck department Funniest thing of the day, must have been Bunny's extended exhaust exiting right next to his right ear, wish I had had a camera. Don't think noise scrutineer and Bunny got on Roll on Croft on Easter Monday, see you all there, I will bring stickers round to the people that didn't get then this weekend, speed series cards etc will be in the post. Results will be as soon as I get them from the club.
