(1) am expecting to rely on portable devices for heating when necessary. Will not be fitting a pit.

(2) Lots of strip light/ portable lighting and mains electricity points.

(3)Am expecting external PIR-sensored lights over barn doors.

Have broke down your original post into three sections......

(1) Underfloor heating?

(2) You need T5 or HFT8 fittings and then same again mounted low level, enclosed type. Power, as many as you want but mounted front, back and both sides. Dont forget to 2-way your lights.

(3)Dont fit 500W halogen lamps, get the energy saving type or get two nice fittings, one each side of doors.
