Blatman Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I Have to say that I had a problem with a 1800 with ESW modules can do RSTP, MSTP PVST and PVST+ The thing was there is no 802.1w - but you can do MSTP with a dongle built in . When I upgrade 857 to 877 and the Processor board ID JAB0313067N (4286363333) M860 processor: part number 0, mask 49 Bridging software it all went pearshaped . So after 8192K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write) re syncopated and added all these into "Port Forwarding" and allocated them to the phone IP address. Well you wouldn’t believe it, but VOIP phone uses an ordinary RJ45 and CAT5 cable for connectivity, so the WNR2000 actualy supported Vonage using a USB phone/handset. Before you know it, all the LAN ports on the router actually enabled RIPv1, no need to port forward I wouldn't have thought , but s**t happens . Anyway , I changed the fuse and it works now I don't understand a word of this but the bit: "............so the WNR2000 actualy supported Vonage using a USB phone/handset." You mean a USB phone plugged into your PC / laptop? Managed to blag a Linksys router for free last night so will try that over the weekend. Fingers crossed. Lurksalot mat not have been entirely accurate with some of that stuff Quote
