Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 When all of the news channels keep saying "we're going to get arctic conditions" As if we are ever going to see -25 degrees IT'S BL+++++DY WINTER what do they exspect, Sun, we do'nt even get that in summer It wouldn't be quite so bad if they actually DID say 'arctic', but mostly they say 'artic'. Incidentally, if a few centimeters of snow brings UK airports to a halt, how the hell did Anchorage, in Alaska, manage to be the trans-Pacific hub airport that it was 365 days a year all through the seventies and eighties, and take 747s, L1011s, and DC10s in and out with no trouble?
