When all of the news channels keep saying "we're going to get arctic conditions"   As if we are ever going to see -25 degrees    IT'S BL+++++DY WINTER what do they exspect, Sun, we do'nt even get that in summer

:bangshead:  :bangshead:

It wouldn't be quite so bad if they actually DID say 'arctic', but mostly they say 'artic'.

Incidentally, if a few centimeters of snow brings UK airports to a halt, how the hell did Anchorage, in Alaska, manage to be the trans-Pacific hub airport that it was 365 days a year all through the seventies and eighties, and take 747s, L1011s, and DC10s in and out with no trouble? ???
