How heavy are our karts? If I wanna mess about with lap times, might as well conform to those regs to see where I'm at. Quote
evo-mark Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 according to M S web site my kart weighs 74KG I can't make Sunday but I'm going to do the Saturday get a bit practice in. I've been reading up on trail braking so I'm expecting a lot of spins as I try it out Quote

JeffC Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 according to M S web site my kart weighs 74KG world formula has to be 162kg kart 74kg. jc 82kg time I get me gears on , a good Pizza or 2 this week should have me close to the race weight then and save on buying lead <!--emo& will be a good idea getting all weighted up correctly to regs, least that way theres one excuse that us fattys cant use on you wippets Quote

Just out of interest pretty much the same as dippy in his prokart late 0.50"s see what Pilot manages next week Thing is, I reckon I could get close to those times on those lap sheets if not beat them, BUT, and its a big beyonce size BUT, if my kart weighs 74kg and I weigh 70kg, my total weight is only 144kg's. Reading on the web that 10kg's is about 0.7 of a second over a 45 second lap, 18 kg's is 1.26 seconds. So I need to be doing low 47's un-ballasted to know I'm competetive. Fookin no chance of that! Makes you respect the lads and lasses setting those times though. Quote
