stephenh Posted March 17, 2008 Author Posted March 17, 2008 I'm not sure, Asterix, but if I can get my pen mended and back in one piece I am taking it to Procomp Motorsport to get it set up properly, and I will post the settings which they recomend. Quote

Cool, don't forget the corner weighting...that'll make a helluva difference. Quote
Norman Verona Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I'm only interested if there's a version in carbon fibre. And it must have been through a full refill build first with nib profiling, larger glands and stronger return spring. And, if one such itm is available, I will gladly pay 3 and 6 pence halfpenny for it. Quote
Liam Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I am trying to organise a doodling shootout at NMS. Prizes will be awarded for endurance and durability (equipment - WSCC pens not recommended)) and best fuel consumption. Anyone who empties the contents of the equipment on the floor due to overfilling will be disqualified. Quote
Tubs Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Anyone having trouble with tick over with thier pens? Every time I get to the end of a sentence my pen comes to a full stop. Tubs. Quote

stephenh Posted March 17, 2008 Author Posted March 17, 2008 I have to say that I'm begining to detect a hint of silliness creaping into this thread. I asked a perfectly reasonable enquiry about my pen, in an attempt to extend it's useful life (as long as the factory will continue to support it) and I expected to find guidance from knowledgable fellow enthusiasts on this website to guide me. Just because I want to try and ensure that my pen is correctly set up and it's performance optimised (if I can ever get the bl**dy thing back together again) is no reason for people to take thepiss thank you very much. Blatman Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Sory mate. I didn't mean to start an(other) argument. I just thought a little backgrond info would help you on your way. Next time I'll keep my undervalued opinions to myself *Wanders of clutching *BOTH* his Westfield pens* Quote
congorobot Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 How much should I expect to pay to insure my pen when doing track-days? Quote
Blatman Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I usually don't bother. Just sign the disclaimer... Quote
Blatman Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Maybe now is the time to point out that my pen (of course) is the most mighty pen there ever was... Quote
congorobot Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 QUOTE Maybe now is the time to point out that my pen (of course) is the most mighty pen there ever was... Can you back that up with quarter page times? Quote
Blatman Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I don't usually do just quarter pages. I prefer the longer runs, usually 3/4's of a page or more, but I stop short of an essay usually... Quote

It's just that I was begining to get a feeling that one or two of the replies were showing a teensy bit of disrespect. At my age I feel the younger members of the Club should show some respect to those of more mature years. I may only have been in the Club a few months, but I am nearly as old as Norman Verona. Quote
