...Just to add, lap straps are pull down not pull up. I've trial fitted one pair and they are impossible to adjust when you're in the car... Shoulder and lap adjusters seem quite long too...

Oh dear, I was changing because the pull up lap straps are impossible to adjust without getting in and out of the car about 5 times each time there is a new passenger. So far everyone has recommended pull down to remedy this. If it doesn't work then i'm no better off.

If only GPR would communicate . . . . .we'd at least know what was going on.

The lap straps are awkward to adjust in situ.

In general pull down straps are spec'd and recommended for 7 type cars. Have a look in the Tweeks catalogue and you will see that the majority of the manufacturers use this style. Willans, Luke, Sabelt and Schroth to name four. Must be because the adjuster would be totally inaccessable (down the side of the seat) if configured the other way. Unless the harness was tailor made to each individual car and seat it wouldn't be possible to have the adjuster near the turn buckle and still have pull up adjustment.

Why they can't put the adjuster somewhere in the middle Lord only knows! TRS do a Magnum Hillclimb harness which would do the job in that respect but it's not cheap!

:bangshead:  :bangshead: Both companies I talked to Ie GPR and MRSA both said the adjusters could be set for either pull down or pull up....  :arse:

They can't be set for pull up or pull down by the user. The harness would need to be re-worked so unless you specified pull up on ordering you will get pull down if the harness is for a 7.

I had a message from Ashley to call him back last week after all the messages I had left. Tried to return the call a few times to no avail..  :bangshead:  :bangshead:

I'll be trying again on Monday and Im letting him know the disapointment we all feel.

I think he's looked here and read the thread a couple of times so hopefully he'll get the unhappy picture....

Im really sorry for the way this has gone guys, Im not sure how something so simple has turned out such a nightmare, maybe I have to take some of the blame for not constantly keeping the presure up on GPR.

The whole idea was so simple, we all phoned him up, (which was his idea) gave our money details and a week later we all got nice new harnesses!.....and they got a couple of grands worth of business..... what could be simpler.....  :suspect:  :suspect:

no one blames you mate

keep up the good work

Did you get pull up or pull down and was it what you ordered?
