Also decided to get fitter this year and lose a bit of weight.I purchased a second hand electric running machine months and months ago and it's a great bit of kit.Picked it up for £100, only been on it twice so far though :D

I am about to get off for my first run in about 14 years. I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. Ill let you know later if my heart is still pumping. :0

Jesus !!!

My calfs are popping out of my legs and although i have never smoked you would think I was a 90 year old dude that has been on 40 a day.

It's a good job i'm working from home tomorrow :blush:

It only took 20 mins but it felt like a couple of hours.

Running can seriously damage yer health  :p

The Old Bull and the Young Bull were stood on top of the hill surveying the Cows down in the meadow .

Been on the bike again, heartrate going at between a 105-115. Is that good or bad?

With that heartrate you are talking about a motorbike aren't you  ???

Excersise bike.

I take it its bad then :blush:

14 stone 9 here, I didn't put on any weight over Christmas, actually may have lost some!

Out this morning , managed to walk 30 secs then had to lie down  :p

I think it was Dave Allen who asked - have you ever seen a happy Jogger? :p

Never seen the point of running.  Walking allows you to look at the scenery.  If you want to get somewhere close, use a bike.  For somewhere wet, start swimming.  Otherwise it is planes and automobiles for me.

But.....for those who choose or are compelled to take this route ...  good luck.  

(Please avoid the current fashion of running in the road or on cycle paths, at night, in black!)

Walked to the train station yesterday and back afterwards, to get the train into London.

About 1.5 miles each way. :)

Had motivation, followed a young girl with the cutest tight little a**, nearly missed my train going the wrong way. :laugh:  :laugh:  :laugh:

Can't be done with walking, I get bored to easily. Howver, with this running lark it's all over in 20 mins and i can get back to the sofa, my TV, coffee and cakes.

Am I missing the point somewhere?

the jane fonda tapes are quite exhausting to watch , dont know if it counts though  :D
