Uncle Fester Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 but usual form is to drop pressures slightly when wet Is that what you have found works most folks seem to up pressures a bit when raining/wet yep, always drop the pressures. people raise pressure becuase they can't get the temp in the tyre which raises the pressure but lower pressure means more tyre movement on the limit and therefore easier to judge when limit is being approached - or something like that! So that settles it. I'll try upping the pressures a bit and then maybe I'll try letting them down All I hope is I get more traction than I did this evening in the wet. 2nd gear was useless and 3rd not much better Just checked the weather and the chance of rain has dropped from 60% to 20% See you all tomorrow Quote
custardtart Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 you out to play on friday matt? if so il have to give you a trailer race on the way up Sadly no - car has no engine or gearbox - but I'll be there as a passenger with a fellow member of the "custart tart racing" team! Will pop over for a chat. Quote
