bazz24 Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 hi all. iv just been in contact with a chap that can do some real stuff with a few cans of paint.in my eyes he is the best i have seen and is very creative in the graffiti art world (legal art that is), we chatted an hour or so about an idea of the WESTFIELD script being jazzed up abit and painted on my car.he sent me a few pics and i was very impressed with the outcome of his drawings.so im thinking of combinations of colors ,and i may well go ahead with it,if i can find the right place to have the art work done on the car. now the . would any one out there in the westy community or ''other'' kit car manufacturer be interested in this graffiti concept art on there own car in there own style interpreted by this artist i will try and get some pics up on here, but first i must ask for his permission as it is all his own original work done about 2 hours ago , so your veiws please lads Quote
spence Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Why not? Depends what it is and the concept. So long as you don't have ' Bazz woz ere ' sprayed on it. Quote
Crazy Eddie Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Be interested to see examples etc. I have fancied something "different" for the back of my car for a while so always nice to see options Quote
perksy Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I have fancied something "different" for the back of my car for a while so always nice to see options How about an 'ON TOW' sign Mate Quote
Kev Bamber Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 When looking for ideas to spray mine, we considered graffiti art - the intent was to spray the whole car in white primer as a canvas, then have it covered entirely with graffiti, then laquer. In the end we could not find a top notch artist so it did not happen but still wish we had seen it through and done it. Kev. Quote
bazz24 Posted September 9, 2007 Author Posted September 9, 2007 '' BAZ WOZ ERE'' I think that would be a big no no but ''ON TOW''could be an option ..for those unreliable westys .thats what my westy will have plastered all over it. . but im glad that some people have considered graffiti art on there cars.Kev bamber, at the time you were considering this what adeas did you come up with if you dont mind me asking or if any one can think of any themes for the artist to work on .that would be great. regards bazz Quote
wacomuk Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 I have been thinking about doing this to my westy as its in need of painting. i have seen some really nice stuff on petrol tanks at a bike show i went to Quote
cidersurfer Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 I'd certainly consider it. Would love to see some 'samples' Quote
bazz24 Posted September 9, 2007 Author Posted September 9, 2007 ............. this should be a quick sketch he done of the westfield script. just the out line .hes working on a drawing of a part or a hole westy to give you an idea.. so have a look and tell us what you think Quote
bazz24 Posted September 9, 2007 Author Posted September 9, 2007 this is his own work, dont have a clue what it says but it looks great . Quote
bazz24 Posted September 9, 2007 Author Posted September 9, 2007 I have been thinking about doing this to my westy as its in need of painting. i have seen some really nice stuff on petrol tanks at a bike show i went to this is graffiti art ,not air brushing ,there totaly different.but both are very Quote
Bananaman Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 MUFC if you want to de-value the car......... Quote
gee_fin Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 It won't work. It'd need to be very fine airbrushed for it to look anything but s**t. Much better idea would be to have him create the piece on paper/canvas, print it onto a sticker, put on car, and then go that way so it can be removed. Quote
bazz24 Posted September 9, 2007 Author Posted September 9, 2007 MUFC what the devil!!! gee_fin, the idea of stickers could be the way forward,i did think that maybe some people wouldnt want art painted on there cars.but a sticker would be easier to apply and remove if need be. this is an idea in the making, and every peace of art would be totaly original.
