Hmmmmmm... causing offence to children, and by proxy, their parents? Yes, I can see that, but children need to be taught all sorts, like sex for instance. If the parent is offended *that* much, I would suggest that he or she is also not smart enough to be able to adequately explain the shirt and it's context to a child. What hope for sex education then? Yes the child may well be very young, but old enough to read, so old enough for the parent to at least attempt to explain it in a balanced and understandable way. Isn't this the way anything should be taught? IE, a grown up sets aside their own prejudices to present a balanced view and to allow the learnee to form their own view based on at least two sides of the argument?

A "smart" person, as Bazzer said, should surely be able to spot the humour, *as well as* take a dim view of it. If a person is offended to the point of losing all reason, or worse, not being able to explain the reason for the extreme response, then as has been said, they need to look at themselves first, otherwise the "offensiveness" is perpetuated and the emerging adult will be offended because "it's what I was taught". Society ends up with a bunch of people who do things because of dogma, rather than free thinking. I can see a pattern emerging...

I don't see a problem with it - my son would have been able to question the tee shirt / whatever is offensive, and I would have given an explaination based on his age, and what I felt would be his understanding level.  Surely that would be what most parents would do?  He see's and hear's worse on the TV / films he watches!!  :D  :D

And he doesn't go round swearing just because someone says it somewhere else!!!  (OK, not in my earshot anyway!) :D

Exactly. Besdies, have any of you been anywhere near a school or a bus stop when the kids are around? They swear more than I do, and swear a f****n' lot...

Had to edit that too, lest I offend someone as well :oops:
