neilwillis Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Tee shirt is fine, just the location that should have been changed. I'm dead against the mullet too though! Wear anything you like, but when you're in places where "the great unwashed" are at large, be prepared for that kind of hassle. Wear it to a party, wear it in a pub, wear it anywhere that people are not likely to take offense. Some people don't want to see it, and I don't think they should have to. What you do elsewhere of course is another matter. Or do you think dropping your keks, and creaming one off in the High street is acceptable too? Quote

Bazzer Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I am just really strugling to see why you would want to deport someone because of that T shirt ? Is it the P word or the joking about serial killing ? Its just not that big a deal is it ? It just amazes me how narrow minded people are. Bazzer Quote
CarlR Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I don't find that t-shirt offensive, I'm offended by the fact that a family man has yet again had to go outside and confront some ill brought up little sh*ts only to lose his life. In view of the fact resources that should be put towards proper policing is wasted on these wardens. Quote
Tubs Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I can't stop thinking about this one and have come up the following:- Why does he want to offend people by wearing that T-shirt in the first place? Is the fall in our standards, this would never have been allowed 50 years ago, connected with the behaviour of today's youth, as highlighted by CarlR? How do I feel about T-shirts that I've worn that were, or might have been, offensive? Are the rumours about 'Blatman Returns' true? Tubs Quote

Blatman Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Oh, and as for the T-shirt, I guess all you guys must live in the country. I could find a dozen shirts as supposedly offensive at that on one street. It certainly wouldn't make the London News... Quote

Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I laughed at the Skoolkids Issue of Oz Magazine*, but I still worry about where we're headed with declining public standards. The magazine was not in the public domain, but T shirts are. maybe I'm also disturbed by the case CarlR mentioned because it is a symptom of the liberal standards that have allowed this sort of thing to develop. Still, back to motors, eh? Let the politicians look after the world. Landlord! Another pint please. *trial for obscenity in 1971 - Rupert Bear in a compromising position. Quote
jeff oakley Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Yes it is offensive to others and that in this instance is the deciding factor. Censorship is genrally a bad thing however with a lack of it comes responsibility that the public are not equipped to deal with. His morals are such he sees no problems with wearing the shirt openly, but if I had a small child I would not like it. Now my daughter is 19 it makes little differance in that context. When the sex pistols went to court it was decided that "never mind the b*****ks" wasn't offensive when clearly to the public at that time it was. There are many more things that are more serious but when grown men and women wear something like oops, i said a naughty word! and this shirt it reflects so badly on them. Quote
