The organising team had an impromptu meeting at the Manchester area meet last night and the plan is to make the event better, smoother and a more efficiently organised. Obviously nothing as draconian as school day out to Whitby! There was some good feed back put into the meet last night and suggestions on how to improve the overall experience were voiced. Once the format has been finalised (as at the moment it’s very fluid) which will be later in the year, we’ll inform all interested parties with: Deposits Ferry cost Initial camp site cost Support Route Plan Accommodation Itinerary Etc. In the mean time we can promise you the 2007 event will build on the experience of 2006 & will be yet another great event. Keep watching for bulletin updates. You will also be individually emailed with this info as well, so you can’t use the excuse 'but no one told me!!' Anyway show your interest here if you would like to take part on this epic journey and join us. Buzz Billsberry Posted August 15, 2006 Author Share Posted August 15, 2006 This is Very Provisional is so fluid its like tap water plan for next year is as follows; Monday Night Hull - Zebrugge Ferry Tuesday. Drive via Calais to pick up Barry & Co Drive through countryside for about 200 miles and find a cheap hotel to stay in. Wednesday. Arrive at Chateau (about 10 miles outside Le Mans), drink eat and watch a small portion of a race! Leave Monday, drive 150 miles, stay over night. Tuesday, remainder of drive to Zebrugge to catch 1900hrs ferry. Wednesday, arrive home...............
