Thrustyjust Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 We seem to have neighbours from hell. They have a known reputation, amongst the street we live in.Parties every week end.Their dog has just recently killed our 24yr old cat who was happily sleeping under our front window. The dogs barking every evening from 5pm to at least 11pm,sometimes later. We have approched them (they paid the vet bill) and said it was unacceptable,to which they walk off and don't give a f**k.The neighbours opposite have had their cars damaged by the sons playing rugby in the street and their porch light knocked off by a ball, which they never replaced. What and where do we look for help? Bit of a long one,but after 4 years we are going to have to do something, before their out of control dogs get a shovel in the head, when they get near my house. Quote

No need for that is there Lave a bowl of antifreeze out in your font garden while working on your car go in for a coffee and let their dog drink the antifreeze [dogs like it] it will be dead soon after their problem as the dog was in your garden not under control you was working on your car almost leagle murder Quote
Animal Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Move it might be easier and kinder to dogs Animal Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Move it might be easier and kinder to dogs Animal I agree but do not let the dispute become a matter of record because you are obliged to report it on a questionnaire when you move house and it's a bit of an offput or would-be buyers. Even tho the whole street feels the same as us,we are being the victims here?.They actually find it funny, that none of the neighbours talk to them!!!!.The husbands buisness has just collapsed,so we hope it is linked to the house, forcing them to move. But I beleive a lottery win will come luckier than that. They have also been lieing about where our cat was to the neighbour that 'does' put up with them, saying that it was in their garden.F**k me,they own all my front garden now. This has inscenced the wife tonight.Lucky the neighbours know better than listen to their tripe. Animal Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I can see a ASBO coming. One of you needs to talk to the police then another and so on can't see any resolve here unless you start the ball rolling. And not through there window so to speak Animal Quote
SIMON.G. Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 get in touch with your local council (enviromental health), you may need to give them details of dates and times when its worst, ive got a similar problem with my neighbours and belive me the council is your friend... wheather its owned, private or council house they CAN do something about it Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Have you thought of the old school method of giving them a damm good kicking Quote
Lurksalot Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Treat the council guys gently ,bless them, the guy or gal on the end of the phone is taking complaints all day, everyday and some just shout abuse . There are set proceedures to follow it may take a while but it should get sorted . My brother in law was environmental health and he ended up with a nervous breakdown he was off sick for a year and had to retire sick on full pension when he was 54 Oh wrong emoticon So dont upset your local government officials cause we'll all be working till we drop to pay their pensions Quote
scooby Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 £1500 and i promise you won't see any of them again Including the dog Quote

ChrisG Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 It might not be in your area yet but I saw an advert the other day for this, a new "non" emergency phone line, rather than dialling 999 you dial 101 to report antisocial behaviour, vandalism etc. QUOTE I agree but do not let the dispute become a matter of record because you are obliged to report it on a questionnaire when you move house and it's a bit of an offput or would-be buyers. Im not sure that's in place yet is it, doesnt it come in at the same time as bringing in the house selling "pack" where the seller pays for a survey etc beforehand? Not sure when that comes in? BTW, what is it with this board and the willingness of some to suggest various ways of causing animals slow and painful deaths! Deal with the real issue which is the neighbours themselves goodness me! Quote
Crash Override Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 BTW, what is it with this board and the willingness of some to suggest various ways of causing animals slow and painful deaths! Deal with the real issue which is the neighbours themselves goodness me! Here here. Dogs often get bad press for their behaviour but it's the owners treatment of the animal that is the cause. Jeff I know someone like your pal, but this guy seems to stop at nothing. He picked a fight with some gypsy's and they wouldn't come out of their caravan so he set light to it Malc. Quote
