Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I admit that I haven't bought pads for it before but IIRC the front pads for the Mk1 were sub £25 from 'alfred's last time I bought them. The fronts for the Mk3 are more than the rears, according to Perry's. £7 a wheel nut is taking the Mickey, though. I am currently looking for a better source of them that's for sure. Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Wheel nuts... Rally Design or the scrappy. Yep, I'm not forking out £50 quid for new ones that'll just lose their caps again. They do have to be for alloys, I believe. Dunno what the difference is tho' Burton do some for a couple of squid a piece, I'll phone them tomorrow. Edited to say Thanks Blatters, Rally Design have nuts labelled specifically for Ford Ghia models and they are sub £2. Looks as if alloys wheel nuts have a loose washer that allows the rotation to take place within the nut, as it were. Quote
Blatman Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 QUOTE Dunno what the difference is tho' Nuts for alloy wheels have a *much* larger shoulder than nuts for steelies. Fitting nuts for steelies on ally wheels is a recipe for disaster as I know only too well... Quote
