Barry Ashcroft Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Call me a cynic but bit convenient of Michael to stop like that. Play the game fair or RETIRE This opinion is of the author not the wscc Quote
KenE Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 I have no doubts that he could have got around there unless he stalled it somehow - he did need a push afterwards. Quote
DavidR Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Just typical of schumacher. . . . .I am willing to bet he gets away with it too. He usually does. Ferrari are out to win . . . . . and schueys tactics can even cause chaos against the other teams cos if they complain too much about it, Ferrari can appeal their lap times weren't sufficiently slow under the yellow and try to have them penalised for "unsafe" driving. Black Shadow Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 CHEAT.......... The only way to sum that up, damn sure he could of got round. he knew he had pole and wanted to make it stay that way, He must deprate to beat Senna's record. Quote
pistonbroke Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Slimemacker strikes again If looks are anything to go by .He looked guilty as sin laughing all the way to the bank Quote
7SE Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 OTOH he did grap 2 armfuls of oppo lock during the corner, but then again that can be deliberately induced. Good to see that he has lost none of his old skills... Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted May 27, 2006 Author Posted May 27, 2006 Taken from Blatchat Back to the old ways for the cheating piece of crap. Heres hoping for some more broken legs. That sums it up for me Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 OTOH he did grap 2 armfuls of oppo lock during the corner, but then again that can be deliberately induced. Good to see that he has lost none of his old skills... That "oppo lock" looked suspiciously like straightening up so as to avoid going round the corner to me. Who remembers his crash out somewhere a few years ago when his car was off the circuit with irredeemable damage but he tried to drive it on to the circuit with the obvious intention of causing a red flag? And of course he took Damon Hill out to stop Hill winning the World Title. None of this is necessary because he IS a damned good driver. He simply cannot help his cheating ways. Quote
ChrisG Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Agreed, when you add up the timing of the "accident", the suspcect way he steered into the corner, then steered straight on (way past the apex) then steered back only when he couldnt make the turn, plus his uncharacteristic babbling, mumbling and general sheepish look in the press conference, it all points to one thing IMHO. On top of all that his car wasnt even damaged, if I were him and wanted to make it look a little less obvious, at least nose the front end into the barrier to give it a bit of authenticity! The cheat is back Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted May 27, 2006 Author Posted May 27, 2006 Ok it looks like he blatently cheated, But he failed to finish the qualifying session surley this is a retirement on the track and to the back he should go. Ok he had the fastest time and had he returned to the pits and waited then fair enough but he stopped on the track so that must be a retirement. Maybe ferrari now might think quick lets have an engine problem to drop ourselves 10 places and hide. Quote

It doesnt matter, you can crash out half way through the last session and still qualify on pole if nobody beats your time by the end of the session, there's nothing in the rules to say the car must be sitting in the pits at the end of the session.
