cast iron Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Thanks to Darlington & District Motor Club and Croft Circuit we are able to park Westfields and the like in our own car park / Display area When coming up the lane to the gate tell the staff - probably Margaret? that you are on the Westy Display, go through the gates and turn right we have placed the NE Banner on the fence and put up some temporary barriers, park behind this and keep clear of the small hanger/shed doors. Get a raffle ticket from Terry, vote for the best car - winner gets an easter egg of course See you all tomorrow and thanks again for your support Quote
JeffC Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Mark If its a freebie in the westys or do we have to cough up at the gate Quote

funbobby Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Yeah well done Mark, did you get your time sorted? Cheers Bob Quote
cast iron Posted April 17, 2006 Author Posted April 17, 2006 Didnt get my time changed to the 94.6 shown on the clock but still 96.5 is a hell of an improvement over the old 16 pinto. A massive well done is due to our NE contingent, Yerslef Slipster, Richard, John, Nick, Trevor, and Chris - We must be up for a regional award, keep it up folks Quote
reaper Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 hell of an improvement over the old 16 pinto all ya gotta do now is fix that loose nut behind the wheel and ya should go faster Quote
davidgh Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Didnt have a bad day meself He was 12 ( in words 'twelve' ) seconds faster than last year -- and this in a sport where winning margins are often a few tenths of seconds!!! Not such a bad day really -- compliments, Mr. L! Great meeting put on by DDMC, as ever. Great pity about the chosen timing company ("we cannot be challenged, we are Judges of Fact"). Condolences to those who had timings screwed up ( almost everyone I met!! ), and especially to those like Stewart who were told "there is no record of your second run -- oh, and you can't have a re-run". The arrogance of some people has the power to astonish. Quote
cast iron Posted April 18, 2006 Author Posted April 18, 2006 apparently we the competitors need to put a complaint in to the MSA about Malvern timing - Why DDMC dont do it or even take some of the responsibility is beyond me - I was kicked off the comittee years ago for proffering such a responsibility when the RX meetings used to go bits up Quote
Emma Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 I guess the wrong timings didnt matter to me that much, I wasnt exactly challenging anyone elses times but I still feel that an accurate time for every run should be recorded - tis v unfair to those who could have won but didnt on the basis of their rubbish equipment / staff. If there was no time available, or we had proof that the time was wrong, as we did in my case for my third run, we should definately be going for a re-run! I had a good day anyway, so thanks to everyone for all the advice and help, I guess more miles in the car is the only way to improve!!!! Quote

What needs to be done? Quote
