Martin Keene Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 As an ex-smoker it doesn't bother me either way *but* it's always nice to see it from a hardened smokers point of viewObnoxious , self-righteous, whining little maggots, I’d quit smoking if I didn’t think I’d become one of you. See, I know you've employed some kind of eternal life fantasy because you've chosen not to smoke; let me be the first to pop that f*cking bubble and send you hurtling back to reality – because you're gonna die too. And you know what doctors say: 's**t, if only you'd smoked, we'd have the technology to help you. It's you people dying from nothing who are screwed. I'm Bill Hicks and I'm dead now because I smoked cigarettes. Cigarettes didn't kill me, a bunch of non-smokers kicked the s**t out of me one day. I tried to run, they had more energy than I. I tried to hide, they heard me wheezing. Many of them smelled me. (Sniffing sounds) "There he is, get him!" (Pants) "Oh, he's hardly f*cking moving, this is pathetic!" (Pants) "Look, he's still trying to get away, he's like a roach, step on him!" (Pants) "Squash him!" "Let's kill him and pee on him. Yeah!" People'll say the stupidest things sometimes too, "Hey, man, if you quit smoking you get your sense of smell back." I live in New York City, I got news for you-I don't want my f*cking sense of smell back. (Sniffs) Is that urine? (Sniffs) I think I smell a dead guy! Honey, look, a dead guy! Bill Hicks 1961 - 1994 Anybody who says anything like that has not seen the s**t that goes into a fag. I have, and trust me it is not pretty. Would you eat arsenick? No, not in hell right? Do you smoke? Yes, whoops, care to ammend your first answer? I can't remember the exact facts as it good few years ago, but there is something like 400 chemicals that go into a cigarette which are classified as poisons, toxic, harmful, etc in all all forms on human consumption yet millions of people regulary and voluntarily take them every day in a fag. I'm 30 and I can honestly say I have never smoke a fag in my life. And I never will... Quote

It is about the way people take these government dangler-shaftings without question....as has been said before, what's next? Quote
jak Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Oh right, so you don't disagree with the ban just with the government. That being the case at the next general election if more people got off their and vote things might change. Bleating about civil liberties on here won't. How many people who have moaned about the nanny state actually voted at the last general election Quote
